Sausage Bodge/Casserole

This is a family favourite dating back to the early to mid seventies using a slow cooker

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Pack of Sausages or 70+ Cooked cocktail sausages
  • 2 tblsp Petromilos Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 medium onion roughly chopped
  • 5 or 6 Mushrooms roughly chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chilli flakes (best are the Easy Chilli in Jars wet)
  • 400g Tin of Baked Beans
  • 400g tin Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 potatoes peeled and diced approx. 1cm cube
  • 1 french stick

INSTRUCTIONS

Add the Petromilos Extra Virgin Olive Oil to heavy based frying pan, Heat on medium , fry off the sausages until cooked, cut them into bite size pieces and add to Slow cooker, or the cocktail sausages which wont need cutting up, add onion,mushrooms and chilli flakes to the pan lightly fry off , add tinned tomatoes, Baked beans, rinse the tin with a can full of water, add potatoes, season. Bring to the boil add to the sausages in slow cooker, bring to boil in slow cooker, turn to low for 2 to 3 hours or until the potatoes are soft.

Serve in a bowl with warmed french stick
